NMPI Workshops

NMPI 1: March 2007

NMPI International Workshop I, under the auspices of the Universitaet Stuttgart and the British Geological Survey, brought together 45 experts from 12 countries and 4 continents to address the interface between numerical modelling and policy within the context of vulnerability, adaptation and resilience (VAR) science.
From NMPI 1, you will have access to a full list of Speakers and Presentations. You may freely download any individual presentation as well the video clip (they are for personal usage only; distribution is strictly prohibited without permission from NMPI Secretariat; further information can be found at NMPI Copyright Notice).

NMPI 2: June 2007
NMPI International Workshop UK, organized by the British Geological Survey, was well attended by people who are involved in the interface between academic research and decision making. The concept of 'nu-po moderator' (an intermediate person between numerical modelling and policy formulation) as a new profession was given attention. Attendees proposed to prepare a handbook on “modeller - stakeholder” interaction.

NMPI 3: January 2008
NMPI International Workshop Delft, organized by Dr. Andrew Hughes of the Britisch Geological Survey. It took place on the 28th and 29th of January 2008 at the Natural History Museum of London. A  workshop report can be obtained from the NMPI Secretariat.
